Ochrona dzieci
Sentiens is for adults. Two strangers talk by voice, and that's only safe if children aren't part of it. This page is our standard against child sexual abuse and exploitation, and what happens when someone breaks it.
Zero tolerance
We never allow any sexual abuse or exploitation of children on Sentiens. That includes:
- sexual talk with, or about, anyone under 18, in a voice clip or a live talk
- grooming: trying to gain a child's trust for sexual purposes, or to meet, contact or move them somewhere else
- asking for, offering or sharing sexual images, video or audio of anyone under 18
- anything that sexualises children, presents it as normal, or helps someone harm a child
One breach is enough for us to close an account for good.
Sentiens is 18+
You must be 18 or older to use Sentiens. You confirm it when you sign up, and our terms say so. The app is listed on Google Play for adults only, and nothing in it is made to appeal to children.
If you're under 18, please don't use Sentiens. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
How to tell us
- In the app. When you hear a voice, tap Report. In a talk, tap the flag at the top. Choose Seems under 18 or Crossed a line, then Report & block. The block works both ways: you won't meet again, and a talk ends at once.
- By email. Anyone, with or without an account, can write to hello@sentiens.app. Tell us what happened and when. This is also our contact for child safety for the authorities and for Google.
If a child is in danger right now, call 112.
What we do
- A person looks at it. Every report about a child's safety reaches us, and we act on it within 48 hours, sooner whenever we can.
- We remove it. We delete the voice clip, if it still exists, and stop the account from reaching anyone.
- We close the account of anyone who sexually exploits a child or tries to, and we don't let them back.
- We report it to the authorities. We report child sexual abuse material and the sexual exploitation of children to the Polish police or prosecutor and to Dyżurnet.pl, the Polish team that handles reports of child sexual abuse material online. Where it applies, we also report to the CyberTipline of NCMEC, the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
- We keep what the authorities need. When we report, we keep the details we have about it for as long as the authorities need them, even if the account is deleted.
Talks on Sentiens are never recorded, and voice clips are deleted soon after they're heard. So often we can't listen back. We act on what you tell us, and when a child might be at risk, we'd rather close an account than wait for proof.
The law
We follow the child protection laws that apply to us, including Polish criminal law and the EU's Digital Services Act, and we cooperate with the police and other authorities.
