Delete your account

This page is for Sentiens, the voice app by Digital Creations Studio on Google Play. You can delete your account whenever you like. There are two ways.

In the app

Open Sentiens, go to Settings, tap Delete account, then Delete my account to confirm. Your account and your voice clips are deleted straight away, and you're signed out.

Without the app

Email hello@sentiens.app from the address you signed up with, and ask us to delete your account. We'll delete it within 48 hours and write back to say it's done. If you write from another address, we'll ask you to confirm from the one you signed up with first, so nobody can delete your account but you.

What's deleted

Everything linked to your account, for good:

• your email address and password,
• your voice clips,
• your stars (the four numbers drawn from your voice),
• your replies and talks, and the replies other people sent to your voice,
• thank-yous you gave and received, your moods and Your nights,
• your embers (they go out for the other person too),
• your blocks, and reports you made,
• your notification token.

Copies in our providers' backups and logs disappear on their own within 30 days.

What stays

• Reports other people made about you are kept for 12 months after the report, so we can deal with harm, then deleted. Your account is removed from them when you delete it.
• A report that someone seemed under 18. If a recent report like that involves your account, either way, we keep a copy of the report and of the reported account (its email address and dates) so we can still act on it. We don't keep who made the report. Unless we pass it to the authorities, it's deleted after 12 months.
• Your journal lives only on your phone, and we never had it. Uninstall the app to remove it.
